Sofia Bentos-a Reiki Miracle
Sofia was born in Miami Birthing Center on January 8th 2007. She is a precious child who was born with many medical problems. Biliary atresia was one of her first problems, a serious form of liver disease, She then developed pulmonary stenosis which is a heart condition.
Five weeks ago her parents were told she was going to need a liver transplant and would have to be put on a waiting list. Her prognosis was not at all good. Her mom and dad were confused and scared.
Her mother, Sanna, (pictured above with Sofia) came to the Griffin’s Loft with a friend. Her friend had read about Reiki Circles at the Loft but had no way to get there. She asked Sanna to drive them there.
Sanna discovered that night the loving, healing power of Reiki.Reiki Master Scott Friedman had a vision of healing Sofia with Reiki. He agreed to give her private treatments on a daily basis as well as welcoming the family to the circle.

Bob has personally witnessed a powerful transformation in this baby, now 14 months old. She was somewhat sickly looking without that spark of life in her eyes that babies usually have. Now her eyes are clear, she coos and smiles continually, and simply looks so much better. But the best is yet to come.
Just a few days ago her parents took her to the transplant clinic at Jackson Memorial Hospital to find out about putting her on the liver transplant list. They were told that this beautiful child did not need to go on the transplant list. Her liver enzyme level had increased enough that they should come back next year and just monitor the situation in the meantime.
Because of Reiki this baby may not need to have a transplant for several years, giving her a chance to be healed by Divine Love expressed through Reiki. This being the case, she may never actually need the transplant.

Sofia brings joy to all who come into contact with her. (6/19/08) she was examined by her cardiologist yesterday and found to have a perfectly healthy heart. Today her primary physician and her liver specialist said she is looking very good and does not have to come back for 4-6 months. Rock on Sofia, rock on!
